Today's Readings

Songs are profound outlets for all that we experience in life.
Whether we find ourselves in a state of exuberant joy or
in a long tunnel of confusion, there is a song to match.

For those who worship God, songs can not only speak to our circumstances,
but they can also bring us past them.
Songs can be like vehicles driving us past our earthly circumstances
straight to the throne of God.
We can worship God through the good and bad,
knowing that God has makes all things work together for our good (Romans 8:28).

I am reminded of the chorus of the song "Still" by Hillsong:

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with You above the storm
Father, You are King over the flood
I will be still, know You are God

Below, you will find five songs selected by Airam Aguasvivas De Los Santos.
These songs have been inspiring to her, and she wanted to share them with you.
Airam is the Student Assistant for the Office of Mission, Ministry & Interfaith Dialogue,
RISE Above Program student, and a member of the St. Francis College Class of 2024.
