Monday of the Third Week of Advent

| TODAY'S READINGS

The Gospel reading depicts the ultimate powerfulness of the spirit of God to impact an individual’s life through teachings and miracles. The teachings touched many hearts, especially the less fortunate individuals who experience imbalance in life. The individuals who experienced many imbalances yet also opened their hearts to God’s teachings began to question authority. It was interesting for me to gain a perspective that anyone who has faith in Jesus can fulfill good deeds and save lives without anyone’s approval. It is clear to understand through the readings that God is full of love, goodness, and compassion. This reading touched my heart because God always shares his love with you no matter what situation, he is there in the good and the bad points in your life. God is truly a savior by guiding individuals through his teachings and the truth. God is willing to accept sinners with kindness and love to guide them through his path. God has the fundamental principle of forgiving sinners and allowing them to discover the word of the Lord. The emphasis on being humble is an important point that is mentioned in the Responsorial Psalm which demonstrates how God’s teachings can be modest while making an impact on one’s life. Taking a moment to read the word of the Lord can be an eye-opener to developing many beliefs and faith towards our holy savior. I strongly believe that God speaks the truth through his teachings and touches every individual in a unique spiritual manner.
